The role models in my family – my father, grandfather and my uncle – were super professional, hardworking union stagehands for decades at the San Francisco Opera house.
Eventually I followed them into that work, but their influence on me started at home. They were clever, skilled handymen and the inability to fix things around the house was frowned upon. Hard work, taking on a challenge and getting things done was instilled in me from an early age.
The Skills I developed at the SF Opera house translate well to high-end painting for luxury properties. Rigorous attention was paid to every detail in the audience’s view. Building the sets was a demanding and collaborative effort. I learned how to manage a motivate a crew, make sure every detail of the job is done perfectly, cooperating with the other departments and bringing a designer’s vision to life. I love using what I’ve learned to make a home ready for its “audience”.”
